About us

The tiffin kitchen is a picnic company with a passion for food that is fresh, simple, surprising and delicious. Based near Oundle, Northants, we specialise in delivering picnics to local outdoor events where we pass our bespoke, pre-ordered menus straight into the hands of our customers.

Almost all the dishes you see on our menus are cooked in our kitchens. Where we can't make it ourselves, we ask our growing network of local, artisan producers to do it for us.

We specialise in ingredients that are local and seasonal because we believe that food is at its tastiest when it's travelled straight from the garden to the plate. The tiffin kitchen vegetable plot is now in its fourth chaotic, bountiful year, and each season we are delighted to add more of what we've grown to our recipes. The plot is not certified organic but we do not use any pesticides, herbicides or chemicals.

Because we believe that today's bounty should be enjoyed tomorrow too, we donate one per cent of our annual profits to the World Land Trust, an organisation which funds local groups to purchase and preserve threatened habitats for future generations to enjoy.
